Utility Maintenance

posted Mar 28, 2012 1:28 PM by Rob Mosbey

Cuivre River will be in our area within the next several weeks trimming and/or removing vegetation within the right-of-way along their electric lines.  Yard trees will be evaluated on a case by case situation for trimming or removal and all exposed stumps will be treated to prevent resprouting.  Trees are the leading cause of power outages across the Country; therefore, they must perform this maintenance to keep your electric service reliable and safe for everyone.

The Warren Cottle Trail (a.k.a. Safe Routes to School Trail) began construction on February 1st. The $250,000 dollar trail project will provide an alternate transportation route from Fairfield Estates, Madison Park, Vantage Park, and among others to Warren Elementary School. The project includes constructing a new eight foot wide concrete/asphalt multi-purpose/use path, upgraded ADA facilities, and dedicated signalized crosswalk at St. Peters Cottleville Road.

Construction is expected to take two to three months, weather permitting, to complete the project. For more information please click here.
