  • Solid Waste Information 

  • ** CITY OCCUPANCY INSPECTIONS ARE REQUIRED EACH TIME A HOUSE CHANGES OWNER AND/OR RENTER.  AN OCCUPANCY INSPECTION NEEDS TO BE SCHEDULED BEFORE TRASH SERVICE IS CANCELED OR STARTED **  Contact City Hall to schedule a municipal occupancy inspection.

    2012 REFUSE HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

    • New Years Day, Sunday, January 1, 2012 - Normal collection days 
    • Memorial Day, Monday, May 28 - Trash collection shifts to Wednesday & Saturday - Yard waste collection shifts to Thursday
    • Independence Day, Wednesday, July 4 - Normal trash collection- Yard waste collection shifts to Thursday
    • Labor Day, Monday, September 3 - Trash collection shifts to Wednesday & Saturday - Yard waste collection shifts to Thursday
    • Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22 - no collection Friday shifts to Saturday - Normal yard waste collection
    • Christmas Day, Sunday, December 25 -  Trash collection shifts to Wednesday & Saturday - Yard waste collection shifts to Thursday

    Service remains the same for other holidays including Martin Luther King Day, President's Day, Columbus Day, and Veteran's Day.

    NEW RESIDENTS RECEIVE ONE FREE CARDBOARD PICK UP  
    Call Lindsay to be added to the schedule for Tuesday pick up.  ONLY cardboard!  Please NO styrofoam, paper, plastic, or bubble wrap. 

    BILLING
    Residents are billed bi-monthly, which includes solid waste pickup twice a week and recycling.  The net amount is the current balance due in the account.  Remit the net amount before the due date.  Remit the gross amount after the due date.

    Payments can be placed in the drop box located on the backside of the pillar closest to Highway N at City Hall OR mailed to:

    DISABILITIES
    Arrangements will be made for persons with disabilities or who are otherwise unable to put their containers at the curb. They are asked to contact Lindsay and make their needs known.
